Magic Millions 2018 Update

The 2018 Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast concluded with big gains across the board continuing the upward trend of bloodstock worldwide over the past few years. The main session which comprised of four days saw some 853 horses go under the hammer selling at a rate of 89% up from 87% a year before. There were increases in both the average and medium with the sale average increasing by 10% from $206,922 to $228,000 while the medium grew by 6.25% from $160,000 to $170,000. The top end of the market was very strong with 9 yearlings breaking the million dollar barrier headed by the $2,000,000 I Am Invincible colt from Yarraman Park. The fifth day of the sale saw marginal gains from last year.
Boomer Bloodstock secured 8 yearlings in addition to another 7 with exciting young Victorian trainer Matt Cumani for a total spend of $3,580,000.
