Three year old Quality Road filly Well Hello couldn’t have been any more impressive with her stylish 3 ¼ length Maiden Special Weight victory on debut over 5 ½ furlongs on the Santa Anita main track. The big bay filly settled at the rear of the field until jockey Flavien Pratt brought her to the outside on entering the straight and it wasn’t long until she put pay to her rivals for the easiest of wins.
Trainer Dan Blacker has done a marvelous job with the filly who he has held in high regard for some time and predicts a promising future. Well Hello was hip 2921 at the 2016 Keeneland September Yearling Sale where she was purchased by Boomer for $70,000 for Dan Blacker’s group of owners.
Interestingly Boomer only purchased two yearlings in America in 2016, Well Hello at Keeneland and Westerdale at Saratoga.
