Bonita Star scores as new recruits arrive

3yo filly Bonita Star (GB) scored her third win of the season today when she cruised to an easy 2¾ length victory over 1700m on the main track at Hollywood Park.  Riden by Joe Talamo for leading trainer Mike Mitchell, Bonita Star sat behind the early pace before making her move in the straight where she showed she was a class above her competition to win with ease.  Bonita Star was purchased last  year at the Tattersalls Horses In-Training Sale for 15,000 Guineas by Boomer Bloodstock and Jamie Lloyd.

Earlier in the day the new recruits purchased by Boomer Bloodstock and Jamie Lloyd at the Tattersalls Horses In-Training Sale in England last month were released from quarantine and entered the barns of Mike Mitchell and Dan Blacker, both at Hollywood Park, where they will begin acclimatizing before making their respective US debuts next year.
