Boomer Gets His Rock
Thursday 12th January 2012 Gold Coast, Australia
Craig Rounsefell of Boomer Bloodstock opened the shoulders earlier today to secure Lot 281 at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast for $450,000. The bay filly by Australia’s dominant young stallion Fastnet Rock out of the very fast stakes winning mare Satin Robes was a stand out in Rounsefell’s eyes following inspections.
“My client wanted to go home with what I thought was the best filly in the sale and thankfully we were able to secure her. After going through and inspecting all the fillies in the catalogue I really thought she was a clear standout on type and we were determined not to go home without her. The Fastnet Rock fillies are doing phenomenal things on the race track and the Nureyev cross has already proven successful with Fastnet Rock through the likes of Group 1 winners Mosheen and Rock Classic”, Rounsefell said.
She will go into training with John Morrisey on the gold Coast.
